Shiatsu, or "finger pressure" is a form of energy therapy within Traditional Chinese Medicine.

It is rooted in the ancient Chinese techniques of "Do-In (similar to yoga) and anma, a form of massage.

The result is an interaction between the energy therapist and the recipient, in which energy is moved along energy paths (meridians) of the body to release tension and achieve mental and physical balance.
